Treasure Hunt 2012
Completed Tuesday 10th April 2012
The aim of this year's Treasure Hunt was different from previos year's rides. The rider simply had to visit ten different villages or towns and take a photograph of their motorcycle in front of the name of the location - and the location svisited had to spell out the words TREASURE HUNT in that order. I used Google Maps to plan my route, zooming in on villages with Streetview to check on the location of place names - it was surprising how many places do not have signs up - unfortunately I had to discard both Norton and Harley because of this (and then rode through Rudge Heath when I could have claimed it - I wonder how far you could go with a motorcycle alphabet of places?)
My route took me through South Staffordshire and Shropshire visiting the following villages in order: Trescott - Roughton - Enville - Alveley - Shatterford - Upper Arley - Romsley - Eardington - Hughley - Upton Magna - New Works - Tong.
